Im thinking about pulling my boat up the next time I go visit the family, and was wondering if you guys mostly anchor or drift. Also where are some good areas to look if I put in near the airport.

I would think you need to ask over on the VA area on this site. There doesn't seem to be very many active folks who post over here in the Maryland portion that fish the Potomac.

I have fished from Ft. Washington only and only once just a few weeks ago when the grass was terrible. I would guess that later in the year when the grass goes away it would be a great place to go.

    Hope this helps!

Most guys anchor on the Potomac but a few do drift when the fish arent biting real good. Fort Washington is a great place to fish but we need rain to wash the grass out.
