Nice Fish Jim. What was the depth that you caught him in?

What area of the river are you fishing?

I am in need of finding some deeper water I can get to by land.....wife won't let me get a boat yet :sad2::sad2:

I do Whites Ferry, Edwards and all up and down the Potomac from Frederick to Montgomery with very little success.

If you dont mind sharing where you were fishing or the general area, and the baits, technique you are using that would be helpful.

I am kinda newbie to chasing bigger catfish, but far from new when it comes to fishing.

As in the previous post you can fish from the shore at Fort Washington and be right in prime catfish waters. You can easily reach 50 foot of water from the bank with a surf cast rod. Fresh bait is a must. crawlers, shrimp and clam snouts will only bring in small channel cats.
