Kenlaw was lucky enough to be invited down to the Potomac River by a couple to fish on their boat. We left Philly at around midnight and made the fast 2 hour drive to some marina in Virginia. We got our baits in 4am. Special thanks to Rob and Rose to me under thier wings, showed me the ropes, and putting me on some fish. They definitely knew the waters well and how to put us on the fish.

Minnows compared to Stumpjumper and Bumper, but not bad for 2 Philly boys!

    Enjoy the pics!

These are of my 20, 25, and PB 34.12!

Fishing for blue cats is an awesome change of pace from fishing for flatheads all summer long ain't it? I love fishing for flatheads all during the warm months and then about the end of October I start looking at the river every time I ride over it going to the lake:wink:

Yeah boy, I had fun. I am still a little bummed that we couldn't pop a #40. Mabey next time. I am hoping to do it in a few weeks when I go back down. Thanks for posting the pic's. for some reason I can't post any pic's.

I would love to go for some Flats in the winter. I just can't get anyone to go with me. If I had a boat I would find some deep water and use light gear to catch them. With the electronics today it should be easy to find a wintering hole.

I don't think the boat was washed since the last time I went out with Rob:big_smile:. Rosie was waiting for the hog. She didn't want to waste her time with the dinks. She went out about 2 weeks ago and got 9 over #40:eek:oooh:. She wanted one of us to pop a #40 or better.

Hey real nice fish. I've heard the Potomac is really becoming a great blue fishery. Glad to see you were able to make the trip.
