Potomac Bait Hole

    For those looking for gizzad shad on the potomac, this area has been good for me the last 2 weeks. Set your net in about 3' about 50 yared off the rip rap closest to high point Occoquan bay. It drops from about 3 to 5'. been catching 20 shad in 8 to 10 min soak within a few hours of high tide. another good spot is in pohick bay. set net from about 25yards off the duck blind on the point shown on the map.

    Thanks for the info! I plan to fish the Potomac one day and I'll keep this in mind.
