Make plans to attend the Oktoberfest in the Southwest celebration, Oct. 1 at the Fest Tent in the 4400 area behind the Fort Sill Federal Credit Union on Thomas Road, east of Reynolds Army Community Hospital. The party starts at 5 p.m., and festivities include Sportplatz events, a Yodeling Challenge, a German-style Bakery, a silent auction and a keg-tapping ceremony. Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 the day of the event and are available at ITR, Impact Zone Brewery, Twin Oaks Bowling Center, and Lodging. The admission price entitles the first 800 ticket buyers to a commemorative mug and free first beverage. All patrons are eligible for door prize drawings.
