Position of the bait on hook

    How do all of you set the bait on the hook? for cut bait I get a peice on the shank and feed it up untill the hook sticks out about 1/4 inch. I get a lot of bites and usually a couple fish, maybe with some help I can pull in a few more rather than just feed em.

    I just run the hook through a good tough meaty part on the cut bait making sure there is adaquate hook point exposure and let it dangle.

    Like stated above one should have the hook exposed.

    If the are pecking or something like that you may want to experiment with the size of the cut baits & hooks and yes the weights. If possible the smalliest bobber you can use if the conditions are right.
