Poor Boy Way

    Any ideas for a manual way to raise and lower the motor for a temp fix untill i find a tilt/trim? Motor drags the ground when i try to back boat in water.Id like to rig up something for a temporary fix all ideas greatly appreciated.

    Places like Cabelas and your local boat dealer will have a handle setup to tilting your motor up then you can use a chunk of 2x4 to place tween the motor and the mount bracket to hold it up put a piece of light chain on the 2x4 with a screw and washer and hook it in the boat so you dont lose it then when you get in the boat you cant take the handle lift motor up remove the 2x4 then lower it down and remove the handle. when your done for the day tilt it up replace the 2x4 then pull the boat out I did that for a while whith a old boat and motor I had till I bought one with power tilt.

    Its a 100 hp motor so its pretty heavy.

    Did the one on it break? I would think 100hp would have one on it.
    See if the local boat shop has a grave yard. Tullockss helps this poor boy out
