Pontoon rails lift kit?

    Bubbacat brought up a good idea to raise the rails 1" so that the water would drain off easier and would not mold around the rails.

    I need ideas on how to go about doing that please.

    They sell a kit that gives you 1/4'' spacing or if you want it higher you could cut short pieces of PVC or alum. pipe or plexaglass or anything that wont rust or rot will work as long as its sturdy when you get it bolted down. Hope this helps.

    Go get you some end caps made of PVC that will fit a 3/4 sched 40 PVC pipe and drill the hole thru the center of them and put the closed side up and run your bolts thru them and walla you have a raised rail.
    They will stand a lot of pressure and don't rust and cheap.

    My toon has 34 and I think I spent about 10 bucks for the caps and about 25 for the bolts and yes you can get the kit cheaper but it doesn't give you enough heigth in my opnion.
