Has anyone here ever removed the bench seats from their pontoon boat? I'd like to take my uncles out before our trip down to open up fishing space. Can't afford to damage them or mess up the carpet though so I'm hoping it's not that big of a deal. Hope not anyway because the rod holders I built hinge on taking them out. I'd assume just a few bolts but figured I'd ask here first. Browsed the Internet to no avail...Thanks

If you open up the seat, there should just be a couple of bolts that hold them down. You can have them out in about 5 minutes each!

I've taken them out of two pontoons and they both had about 3" long phillips wood screws. You can zipem right out with a cordless drill.

    Nothin to it.

Thanks....I'll take a closer look the next time I'm over. I glanced under the seat the first time and there was a molded plastic liner. Moved some things around looking for bolts (didn't spend alot of time), but didn't see any mounting hardware either.
