What rig would you recommend for fishing in a pond.

It depends on what size catfish is in the pond. 20 lb test line, MH Rod, and a good Baitcaster is all u need.

I use the same rig as when I'm on the river except for whats on the very end. I usually have a plastic dip worm on the end with a treble hook instead of a monster circle hook.

I usually start out in ponds with spinning gear. One rod tightline, the other slip floated.

I use spinning gear too. If the pond is shallowish a bobber can be your next best friend!!! I'd still use cut gills because they're everywhere in ponds!!!

I really like fishing bait under slip bobbers about 4 feet deep in ponds. Live or cut bait works well. I try and fish areas with a lot of cover and just let the bait sit under that bobber right above an old stump or log.
