Tom, Sounds like another fun trip out:wink: Congrats on the fish. Was it windy enough for you today sounded like trees were blowing over for a little bit.

Tom congrats on the fish good job. Kyle you might have the perfect woman. Does anyone in her family own a chain of liquor stores? I have gone fishing on my anniversary before but it almost resulted in my divorce. It certainly landed me in the doghouse.

Went back to Pomona this morning and only caught 4 and they were all little 2lbers..But they will make a good fish fry.

Had lots of hits but tehy would hit once or twice and then quit.Wouldn't get the bait either.

Well back to painting the house.........AND I just remember how much I hate to paint..

i just got in from fishin a little lake by my house and they would hit it one and then leave it. what do you guys usually for bait on little lakes, i was using chicken liver and bee jay's.

Pretty classic bait selection, nothing wrong with it. Not sure where you were
fishing on the little lake or how it was laid out. A trick to use during the
spring is to fish where current comes into the lake. Most of the active fish
will be set up to grab the occasional earthworm or grasshopper washed into
the lake especially if it is a warm rain going into a cool lake. Bobber rigs
set so the gob of nightcrawlers drift slowly into the lake proper a couple
of inches above the bottom is a good way to start out. Don't be afraid to
try drifting them on a shorter line about a foot or two deep either. The
fish of your dreams may like to bushwack from beneath.
