Mono, Big Game is cheap and doesn't cut me up when I hang up, which I do a lot lol. Yea, I could carry gloves or use a rag, but there ain't much room in a kayak.

I always use Big Game Trilene.I have never had no problems with it.I use the light 4 to 10 pound for trout and 12 to 17 for stripers and 20 to 40 for catfishing at Santee Cooper SC.I have had a spool of 3000 yds of 30 and its 4 years old and still as good as the day that I bought it.To me Trilene is the best on the market, bar none.:haha: :0a24: :0a22: :0a27: :006:

I use braid but I prefer mono. The ONLY reason I use braided line is the castability with heavy line.

Braid for me because if I snag in the river I would like to at least get the swivel or weight back because most of the time I just lose the hook. Also I heard that the mono leader would help me to just lose the hook I might give that a try.

I have 8 reels with braided line but I'm going back with mono when I respool them, well all but two of them. I like the feel of mono better.

I use both. For my spinning reels and small reels I use the braid. My catfish reels are filled with mono- Berkly big game.

Mono for my casting reels and heavier fishing.

Braided for my spinning reels which is mostly panfish or a bait, hook and no sinker around moss and weeds.

I much prefer Izorline mono because of low memory and good strength and abrasion resistance but I can't stand the constant twisting on my spinning rigs.
