Who do you all think will catch the most? I'll also have a pole out for Channels. I'm betting on Beginner Lake Luck to get me through...:wink::smile2:
BTW, I'll be using frozen skippies for the Channels.
We should be back by 1 at the latest, depending on how the bite is...LOL!

We had a Great day this morning. Crab beat me bad but I did manage my PB Rainbow Trout and one more and a nice bait bluegill also....:smile2:
We limited out at 9 (3 allowed per person) and threw a bunch back and lost several.....:wink::smile2:

Heres some pics of the giant rainbows in Colorado that my wife and daughter like to go feed when we are there.

These were takin last year in Lyons Colorado, you can't catch these but they will let you feed them. I think the biggest one I seen out there was about 18 to 20 lbs.

No Channels not even a bite. We fished in the small pond right by the Big Lake. The Channels just weren't hungry or they didn't like my re-frozen skippies.
Those Trout sure look good in the fridge. I cut the heads off and gutted them and then rinsed them real good. Gonna soak them in salt water till tomorrow and then freeze a few and may have fresh Trout for dinner tomorrow...:wink:...BTW, I froze the heads for cat bait in the Ohio River later...:wink::big_smile:
The Trout were biting Great!!! We had our limit in less than 2 hours and threw several back.

Nice pics you got there also. Was that your Daughter in the one? She looks like a future catwoman...LOL!

Also, my avatar is my new PB Trout. Not too big but only my second Trout trip. I'm proud of it!!! LOL!

Yes that is my daughter in the pic, she loves fishing as much as I do. I wouldn't doubt she becomes one heck of a fisherwoman when she gets older.
She is only 3 but she sure is smart. :big_smile:

Congrats on the new PB trout.

I didn't figure the Channels would be biting but oh well.
She's a cutie and with you as her Dad I have no doubt she'll grow up to be a catwoman!!!:wink::big_smile:

It is a private lake & pond, gotta have a membership to get in...Not a pay pond either!!!
The pond we fished in was right beside of the Big Lake. They stocked the Trout and a few Channels in the pond. We plan on going back and catfishing in the big lake soon.

First of all you don't have to pay for membership. The people that live on the property have passes to fish there. They stock it for the people that live on the property. There is no $$$ involved unless you buy a piece of property there. Its private owned,,,NOT A PAY POND!!!!!

I was with Crab. He knows the owner which in turn we can fish when we want just like the property owners. Not so much a membership but just have to live on the property. There is no cost for anybody to fish there if you live there or are a guest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If no one else can fish there and you have to pay to be there according to your first post to me its and darn pay-pond no matter how you look at it, you can try like heck to get us away from that fact but it will not change no one can go there and fish on there own without paying to be there, you said it in your post to me I did not bring up payment until you did. We didn't pay, its free if you own property there or know somebody. Crab knows the owner which in turn lets us fish.

Oh one more question did you go over your limit, ( I am telling now) you guys said three fish per person so if you and crab went that makes two and that's 6 fish , Your picture shows 9 fish , so did you fish illegal today or did you get hoggish on the trout or did you have an unidentified person with you like Rollo ??? You guys should be ashamed of yourself! Poor John is distraught,He is telling the truth its not a pay pond. My buddy lives in a comunity that has a lake managment board. They take the money left over from property taxes and uses it for the grounds,lake,pond,and equipment to keep up the place. It has a gate and you have to own property or be a guest of a owner to fish,pick-nic,or use the property. There is a limit on the trout of 3 a piece so guys that can fish like john and myself dont take all the trout from guys who cant fish like DH and judge Dread:big_smile: So guys take it easy on my little buddy and dont be haters cause I know people! If your nice I might let you all go with us sometimes and we wont tell that you paid John and myself to show you how to catch trout. That way they wont tease you guys about paying for guides at a pay pond!!!!oooh::wink::big_smile:

So let me get this right before I call the owner of that property, You and John don't live there, but you know a guy that takes care of the property, but the lake is stocked with tax money from the people that own the ground there, and you guys are going there just so you happen to be buddies with this guy, So I would say that's pretty bad stealing fish from a pay pond from all them kids that live there that their parents pay taxes on to keep you and John's refridge's full of trout that you didn't pay anything for ? Thats a pretty stout accusation of stealing the fish. We had every right to be there and keep our limit of what we caught. For the 12th time, Its not a dam pay pond!!!!!!!!!! Its private property that we have permission to fish at.
