New to the post and fairly new to catfishing. I am looking for advise on setting pole lines on the missouri river. I have been setting them on dikes (current side) with no results. Should I be fishing the back side?. I have had a little luck setting limb lines in pools and near the banks (tree tops etc). Any suggestions?. Thanks

Bobby, welcome to the BOC!!! Wish I could help you out, but right now all i can do is give you a big Arkansas Welcome! Not familair with those waters. But, just try a variety of different techniques as well as Bait and other things such as depth you are fishing and sooner or later you should catch onto something!!!

Welcome to the BOC. I would put them on the back side and use live blue gill and gold fish about 4 inches. Make sure your line is fairly long, i use about a 6 ounce weight about 2-3 foot frome the hook and make sure the pole is very secure. i use about a 8-10 foot pvc pole with about 30 foot of 160lb braided rope. hope this might help.
