Hey Bros,
My name is Matt and I'm looking for a river near central Fl that holds Blues and Flats. I fish the St Johns religiously and my pb is a 13 lb channel. But I'm ready for some bigger cats. I know up towards Pensacola theres rivers that hold both of them but thats 7 hours away and I know near GA/FL line theres rivers that hold both but thats prob 3-4 hours away. Can anyone give me some help? You don't have to give me your spot just the name of the river and I will do my own scouting. Thanks in advance for any help.

all rivers are 3-7 hours away and the yellow river offers both also its near Ga. and the escambia river and must rivers exiting alabama and Ga. have them all pretty far away for us

what you can do tho GL the fwc SUCKS LIKE a BLACK HOLE but after many calls and transfers and finnaly talking to the bio department there the ones that do the stocking of fish and record said process ON TOILET PAPER I GUESS seems how most ansews to my questtion " where did you guys stock channel cats in my general area or region 5-ten years back thus giving me a chance at some bigger cats" they respond by reading me word for word the locations of best cat fishing spots in florida..... i already know those spot i just wanted to know where the state has STOCKED FISH tax dollars hard at work with no data to prove this WTH.

so just keep buggin the crap out them and they will stop the bull jive and tell you ok sir after many times of calling and leaving messages . you'll find that they only stock fairly big sizes waters with about 10,000 fry and wish them well... so far in gainesville no luck on lakes they stocked palatka rodman dam is 45-50 min away and is the best bet state record channel cat was caught there on the docks. and i have not tryed to locate stocked waters here in lake county or our area yet. since lake eustis i know has some bigger channels and your spot . i will see what i can do tho and get back to ya or i got a game wardens card i can give ya and he can start you in the rite dirrection .

i had to use the line so you spend OUR tax dollars and can't even tell me where you are stocking these fish ? do you seee the problem here? can i contact your boss or the press or some one who can answer my simple question of where FL is stocking some dam fish !!! bro its a pain in the rump LOL gl my friend

I have inquired to the fwc before too about finding blues and telling them they should introduce them to the st johns. they replied what makes you think they aren't in there? well bc i have been fishing it for a minute or two and haven't caught 1. I know how to count anal fin rays and can tell the difference between a big channel and blue. a guy on here told me to google satilla river, its near GA/FL line. I guess i could survive a 3/4 hour drive. would prob need a tent though. sounds like an overnight trip ;)
