Started off Friday as soon as I got off work. Was a really sucky day at work just a little FYI. Headed out from the house and got about 5 or 6 miles when my car started missing real bad, pulled over and after a while found a loose spark plug. Got down to the lake and met up with my brother Razzmatazz and we headed out. Got up to humbug about 6 and we started after gills, as we were gill fishin we scouted a few spots. Just before dark we went back to find the spots we scouted full of boats.....We ended up at one of the descent but not great looking spots and settled for a while. Right at 10 my brother got a good run and got a 14# flat. After a few hours of nothing we moved to another spot where we had multiple runs with a severe commitment issue on the part of the fish. I had a channel buggin me all night when all I really wanted was some sleep. Woke up the next morning and reeled in my lines to find that the channel that was so irritating turned out to be a 13# flat that was wrapped in a tree!!!! With the help of my 80# power pro I got him out and to the boat. Headed to the main lake to striper fish and ended up losing my phone in 80ft of water and catching a couple stripers. So if I had your number in my contacts please PM it to me again!! All in all a great weekend with way too many people at the lake. We caught the flats in 13 to 25 ft of water, one took a live gill and the other took a cut gill.
P.S. Met a couple of real cool catfisherman who vist the site here but haven't signed on yet. Super cool guys and had caught a 22# flat the same night just a little ways from us.
