Planning rend lake trip in evening

    hey i was wondering about were to put in in the evening on rend lake looking for monstar kats it will be my first time in a boat on rend lake i was wondering were the best place to bluegil fish there too is for bait or what is the best bait for out there i am gonna trotline and pole fish please help trip is probley gonna be friday

    Guys swear on garlic shrimp as bait out there. They also swear on Gun Creek area too this time of year.

    i will keep that in mind when ever i go i guess garlic powder
    and shrimp

    there at rendlake between 57 and 37 were the road is under water or should i say above water now but any way is there any cats there

    Probably not a good spot right now cause its so shallow. your not gonna be able to get a boat in there. try on the other side of 57. its about 5 feet most of the way around that area with a 10-12 foot channel. try drifting this channel.
