My wife and I love to combine fishing and camping trips. Any suggestions for North Louisiana? We need facilities like a state park has and we bank fish. We will bream fish in the daytime and catfish at night.

There's several places within 30 minutes to an hour from Shreveport, and all have hookups , primitive or RV. There's Red River South Marina and Clarks Marina on the Red River, Lake Bistineau State Park is real nice nestled beneath the Cypress Trees, Cypress Lake State Park also is nice..... It's just whatever you want to be closest too I guess, all are within an hour of Shreveport, LA.....

You will not be able to fish from the bank at Bistineau. The weeds have it wrapped up.
