If you do an internet search for PENN 209, you will find a few online sources that sell replacement parts. I know there is one, cant rememer the place, that I ordered parts from for my Penn's to rebuild the drags.

the old green ones are from the 50s at least thats when i bought this one.its why i love penn reels ive got 2 from the fiftys 3 from the 60s and 3 from early 70s and all ive ever had to do is put new pawls and worm gears in them.the old ones are probably the toughest reels ever made.

Hi Pits! I know I'm a little late but try Ebay. I have purchased a few used 209 from there for 35 or less including shipping.

gave up on finding a green one so i bought a brown one.looks like the green ones are so rare no one wants to turn loose of any parts and the reels go for way to much.

First I've heard of green Penns.

Try not to think about what that reel might have been worth to a collector before you busted it. Ouch!

I'll bet the other end is still worth who knows how much.
