I might be getting a couple of Pinnacle rods 8-9ft I was wondering if these would be decent for catfishing. This is the description:

Pinnacle Coastal Power Tip Spinning Rod CBF902BWSMH

Pinnacle Coastal Power Tip 9' Two Piece Spinning Rod CBF902BWSMH begins with Dual Layer Blank Construction. Inside, a super sensitive, high density graphite composite core. Outside, a surrounding shield of longitudinal glass fiber protects the inner core. Near the tip, the 2 layers join to become a solid, unbreakable piece of fiberglass.

Pinnacle Coastal Power Tip Rods Features:

    Dual Layer Blank Construction
Polished aluminum oxide line guide inserts
    Cushioned SS hoods
High density non slip EVA handle
    Solid unbreakable fiberglass tip
    Underwrapped Guides
    Action Medium Heavy
    Line Weight (lbs) 12-30

    Any help would be appreciated!

I'm thinking of getting the same rod, and it comes with a really nice spinning reel. And it's at a great price.

I used Pinnacle rods in my bass fishin days. I really liked them. They were small in diameter and had lots of backbone. I'm not sure about the ones you are asking about but I would trust the name brand.
