during the winter months people catch shad and use them for striper bait

when the shad dies they just throw them back in the water ( which falls below the pier ) if shad is suposta be a decsent cut bait for channels then wouldnt that be kinda like a chum ( which is illegal in LHC )

i would love to go to a lighted pier and and have rod holders alrighty there and just bring urself :smile2:

    what do yall think??????

sounxs good to me. just be careful fishing around all of those dead shad. game warden might see you using them and think you are chummin yourself. but i think it might work. give it a shot and let us know how you do.

This old man has seen big Stripers occasionally take fresh cut bait in fresh, brackish and salt water. Both Catfish and Stripers will take most kinds of live bait.Sounds like a good place to fish with a chance for both, how ever you fish.I love you Brothers and Sisters.peewee
