I went on a guided trip on the Mississippi River down by Memphis this past Sunday and thought I would share a few photos. We did pretty well considering it was so hot and the river was muddier than usually. We drifted from 7 AM until 2PM using the front half of large skipjacks.

On an interesting side note I got to meet Bill Dance at the boat ramp where we put in at.

The big fish was 30 lbs with the smaller ones being 13 and 9.
I caught the 13 and my friend got the 30 and the 9.

    He already had them.

He provided everything(bait, tackle, rods, reels, life jackets) except our license and whatever we wanted for food and drink while fishing.

He goes through around 1000 lbs of skippies per year.

Yes he was wearing crocs, which seemed kinda weird at first but after seeing them get pissed on by that 30lber it made more sense why wearing rubber shoes when you catfish alsmost everyday might not be such a bad idea.

We fish the same area. Hes a great guy and a helluva guide. He knows the river very well and if the fish are cooperating he can find them.......

As for the crocs.......i's just jerking chains, as i broke down and bought a pair after trying some on.......:cool2:

Ditto. Hes great people, and he and Dance are pretty good buddies. They will be fishing the Cabelas Memphis event together and they make for a tough team to beat.

We used 8/0 circles using a double hook setup. I think the skips had been frozen at some point.
