Well got out on the water today. Fished for shipjacks for over an hour. Caught 3 little ones that may have been 5" long.
Fished with livers for over 2 hours not a fish. Cut one of the little skipjacks up and started catching fish.
Biggest was a 10 lb blue then 9 more that may have weighted 10 lbs in all.
All were caught in 40 ft of water. And the water temp was 73 degrees.

Will be heading back in the am with the 17 ft war-eagle and fish the boils with big motor.

It depends what Im Using for bait.
Most of the time If Im after big fish a 6/0+ circle hook. And a eagleclaw 8/0.
If I'm after small fish, I like the kale hooks.

Thanks. But all I care about is camping and being on the water. Any fish will be a pluse.
Also will be live bait fishing.
