Pickled herring for channel bait

    now we all know what pickled herring is and for those who dont its stuff you buy on news yaer eve and you eat its nicxe and tough so it can probley stay on the hook and real pickly salty so i think its a good bait has any one eles tried this thats all im asking

    i will try it tomarrow even tho its a costly bait if it works good its work every penny btw not trying to offend you here:wink: just want to say people buys boats at a costly price and look how much more fish they catch lol:big_smile:

    its worth a shot. although its kinda pricey. if anything, take some crackers and if the fishings slow you can have a snack.:smile2:

    well, I never thought ab out it, how did it work? I would probably eat most of it if I got bored, but I eat my shrimp anyway.

    i couldent go because as soon as i put me gear in the water a (as the weather crew called it) a sever thunder storm blew in so windy couldent cast an inch so yeah i ate it with some crackers LOL but will try this weekend supposeed to be sunny hopefully no sudden weather changes

    I use pickle herring often. it does work but also like said I do eat most of it.

    pickled gizzards are good too.
