There is a local hunting/fishing store here that is going out of business with everything 50% off.. I went to go find some line, hooks, weights, some bass lures, etc., then i saw this sitting in the glass case. Couldnt resist. Tica Catfish CS200. You want to talk about smooth, THIS is smooth. Makes all my abus feel like zebcos. I cant wait to hook into a porker with it.

sorry guys, the stores last day is today and i got the last catfish cs200. They did have another Tica reel that was reg. price $250 with 1/2 off, but im sure it was soon sold. Im lucky i found this reel. Its not very often i get a bone thrown to me like this. I NEVER find the deals and such. I guess it was still there b/c the town that the store is in isn't a very big catfishing town. Mostly inshore fishing.

I got a Tica Caiman Cj201 reel last year which is the same reel as yours except for the colors and cat on the side. One of the smoothest reels ever...casts awesome...one small problem...the clicker SUCKS! No way to adjust it so when you put it in free spool and turn the clicker on, if there is even a little current line just goes out. I thought something was wrong with my reel and I called Tica and talked to one of their people and he sent me basically a whole new clicker and problem is the same. Actually it is the spool tension adjustment design or lack there of that causes the problem. Which is a shame because everything else about it is great. Now I have a $135 reel I have only used three times because of the clicker is useless.
