Pheasant picture

    Was on the way to the lake yesterday when I sw this bird in a field near the road. Now I am not familiar with this bird, so I am assuming it is a pheasant to began with, correct me if I am wrong.

    It's a Rooster Pheasent to be exact. The Males always exhibit the beautiful colors.:big_smile:

    :lol: yeah amy thats a ring neck pheasant a rooster as they are called the hens are speckled several earth tone colors not as pretty as the male of the species

    Way to go Amy. Nice Pics. Most of the time I see one of those Rooster Pheasants he is flying faster than a bullet.:smile2:
