I have been wanting a new altralite and finally broke over and pulled the trigger on a Pflueger 9025XT. I mounted it on a St. Croix 5 1/2 ft. ultralight fast action rod. Seems to be a pretty good setup, but I think it will be a little better on a 5ft. rod. I just placed an order for a St. Croix 5ft UL. The reel really surprised me how smooth it is (10 bearings)weights 6.6 oz. and seems to be very well made. Only time will tell. I will probably spool it with 10lb Sufix braid or 4 lb mono. and use it for crappie and Bluegills.

Looks like a fine little outfit John!! I am finding myself using more braided line as time passes. I just feel so much more with it.
