I have a couple questions about Petersburg ramp.

How far/long is it take to get there from Florence and which way do you go?

Does the ramp put on directly onto the Ohio or is it in tailwaters?

    Is there a Ramp fee?

    Thanks
    Mike

The ramp is public but you can send a check to me if you'd like:roll_eyes:. Go to Petersburg and drop down over the hill, the ramp is along front street small gravel road that puts directly into the Ohio.

Bluejay, thanks for the welcome. I like the site. I have been lurking for a while, just haven't posted very much.

Bill - The check is in the mail. I have never put directly on the river. Any issues putting on or taking off? Is there a place to tie up?

    Thanks Again

By issues I mean, is it more difficult with the river current. I am fairly new to boating with one season under my belt. I don't think I would have any issues under normal conditions.

no current now but when it is hopping....yeah that gets interesting. I have knocked my right side trailer light off twice now due to barge wake and high river current:smile2:. You could always hop over the bridge to Indiana and put in at Tanners creek.

I have always put in at Trixie's on Gunpowder Creek. I like it there, but I want to put in further north, I guess with less current now is the time to do it.

Is there anywhere to tie up, or do you just beach it?
