pepperoni for bait?

    One of my really good friends tells me that he catches a lot of channel catfish on pepperoni.Has anybody had luck with pepperoni?

    No, but I have like 10 lbs. of it in my freezer. I guess I'll go try it out next time.

    know an old dude that swears by those little smokies for channels at paylakes. i tried them, caught a few but i kept snackin on them till they were all gone. i have the same problem with spam lol.

    I hear ya bro :p I was going to try brownies for packbait for carp but my dad ate it all :eek:

    I love pepperoni, and slim jims and....well I cant say Ive ever had spam, but Ive had a school lunch chicken sandwhich. Cant be much difference eh? :eek:

    maybe if you used it for bait you could eat some fried catfish instead.

    Or i could buy 2x as much, eat the first half, catch fish with the other half, and then stuff and fry whatever is left after that, eh? IF any is left :D

    ive used it before but its been a while, caught a few nice ones on it and lost somthing big

    I tried the pepporoni out today w/ out a lot of sucess. I caught a bunch of small ones, 5-12 inches, and a couple of OK cats, 12-16 inches. I catch a lot more big fish on shad, liver, shrimp, and worms, but it never hurts to have something extra!

    My uncle tried peperonni tonight and he caught a lot of fish!!!! His biggest was 11lbs. 2ounces!! That's huge around here.

    By the way, do you know what speices of catfish it was?
