The Nikon is gonna be a better quality scope, the optic quality is gonna be better, and im willing to bet the reliability and warrenty will be too. I'd sacrifice a little bit of power for better quality. Just curious, what sorta shooting are you gonna be doing?

I'd most likely go with the Nikon 3x9x40 Omega muzzleloader scope in that case.

I"ve not had any experience with the pentax, but have used nikon, leupold, bushnell trophy, tasco world class, and simmons. Out of all of them, the nikon has had the best clarity and reliability. I'd go with nikon!

You can't go wrong with a Nikon. All my optics are nikon, and I have a Nikon scope on my Thompson Omega. Excellent scopes for the money, with a good warranty to boot.
