I recently bought some penn rods with the three species of sea fish around the penn logo. They're extra sterdy. Are these rods too much for flathead catfishing. These rods don't have that flex like the tiger ugly rods. Just wondering if these rods are too much for flatheads? Thanks

but i dont have any knowledge about the tiger rods(about the flex and what not)

It is a mariner penn rod? Is it too heavy duty for flatheads?

I just went to the Penn website. They list your rods, the line ratings and the reel recommendations. With the information on the back of your rods, you should be able to find the answers to all your questions.Luck.peewee-williams
