Not that it is really any of my business, but I'm fairly certain that that model can be bought new for half of your asking price through several online vendors. I'm not sure if there are rules against posting links to vendors, so I won't. I'm betting that that is why there seems to be a lack of interest in your sale.

I really don't want to come off as being stuck up or mean, I would just hate for someone to spend more money than it is worth. Please correct me if I'm wrong, as I very well could be missing something.

I can buy a Penn Mariner rod for 25 bucks, however the dealer also has stated that there is another model of Penn Mariner rod that is much more expensive. Thats all I know, I don't have the nomenclature of the different rods or what makes the price different.

I have a friend who has a 6 or 6.5 ft Penn Mariner for sale, it is apparently the expensive model.

This statement for clarification purposes only

I searched this specific rod on ebay and it sold for more than the asking price. If I am wrong please tell me. I am not out to rip anyone off here.
