So I just won this on ebay for 60 bucks including the shipping. Now I ask. Is this a good reel?

If it is new and never been used, then I would say it is a good deal. 60 bucks is about right for a used one.

As long as it doesn't look like it was ran over by a truck, you've done good. A little bit of preventative maintenance and it'll last forever. You can really get some distance with one too, after you put in your dues (a thumb that has no fingerprints left on it:smile2:). I used to have one on a 10ft rod and with 20lb Big Game and 6-8oz, I could hit 100 yds all day long.

As cheap as the ht100 drags are it would be smart to just change them out if you buy one off Ebay and it is a vintage one.
