Help, I just bought a Penn 210 online and I finally received it in the mail. I was just spinning it quickly and all of a sudden I realized that the drag star is stuck. Not only that, when I reel in with the handle, the line is reeled in extremely extremely slowly.. I dont know what I touched or what.. I dont even have a diagram of the Penn 210 reel because I bought it used but in excellent condition..

The Penn website has diagrams for the 209. You may want to check the cast contol knob on the left side of the reel, loosen it and see if that helps the spool turn faster on retrieve. Also, I've found diagrams on the web site for Mike's reel repair.

Also, if you are used to Abu's and similar reels, the Penn's retrieve ratio is about half the speed of a C3 reel. On the other hand, its a winch, sorta like a having a granny gear on a truck.
