Our team was blessed today to catch a few nice fish in the tournament today out of Dewitt's Bluff landing.. We had first place in the big fish, and first place overall in the tournament. I broke my PB flathead by two pounds with a 35 pound big fish, and our total three fish weight was 57.6 pounds. Catmaster James is going to send me the particulars before he goes on vacation tonight, and I will post all the results. The weather was superb, and the water temperature was 73 or so degrees. We caught all our fish off live bream, in about 15 feet of water. There were 12 boats entered, and everybody caught nice fish. My neighbor, and longtime catman James E Moore II fished with me. Got me a new avatar out of the deal! Gamakatsu 8.0 Octupus circles + 100# Power Pro braided + Abu Gargia + fresh, live bream = success on the Great Pee Dee for our team today! 3 hits, 3 hookups, 3 fish.

BTW: When James sends me the particulars I will post them on the peedeecatmaster section of the BOC.

I did enjoy fishing the tournament with you guys, and congrats on the beautiful flathead, Bill. Lindsay, we'll get 'em next time, I bet. The club puts on a good tournament, with emphasis on the participation of children; I really like that.

Congrats on a great fish and a great win.

I couldn't help noticing that was daylight. Did you catch those during the day? Fishing holes or heavy cover or ...?

Water temp around 75! I fished the Edisto just 2 weeks ago and it was 85! I guess the turn in the weather has it cooling down fast.

Yessir, caught them in our daytime tourney, upstream of heavy cover. Caught 2 small flatties yesterday, and a mud fish. Going again today before this weather moves in tomorrow.
