Pearl river

    Does anyone fish near Slidell up to Pearl river? The pearl river looks good but I don't know how deep it is anyone know?
    Or any of the other creeks that go into Lake Ponch.?
    I was told under the bridge at Manchac at Lake Marapase
    had some big cats. I'll be moveing to Slidell next year
    is why I'm trying to get info.

    yes i have heard that under the bridge on hwy 55 (the one you're talking about) there are some biggg blue cats. i haven't personally fished for them but probably will when school starts up again.

    Is that a Black drum! stubone? If it is that a good one!

    haha yeah it's a black drum...they get much bigger than that though... I fish the northern central part of Vermilion Bay along the Intracoastal waterway. The water is brackish so it produces all sorts of fish. Last trip I caught a stingray and a blue catfish in the same spot without even picking up the anchor.
