Peanut butter doughball

    i made this bait tonite. my girlfriends dad told me that his friend used to use them when they were younger and caught cats all the time. what do you guys think?

    It really depends on the type of cats you want to catch. I have heard alot of different dough ball recipes and I am shure some of them work, but I would rather use live or cut bait, in my opinion they would rather bite on something they are used to feeding ( something natural to them ) then something that is not. Some guys swear by dough balls so let me know how it turns out for you.
     

  3. Looks like if you got hungry you could eat a few of em if they weren't working. Make sure you pack some crackers for your trip just in case these don't work.

    recipe is:
    bread ripped into little pieces
    peanut butter
    and im also going to add some vanilla extract.
    just mix it all together with your hands and press it into little balls
    then refrigerate.

    no problem man let me know how it works.
    i havent used it yet but i fish mainly for channels and flatheads.
    its storming pretty good so im not going to be able to go out today.

    sounds like a good carp bait but bull heads n channels eat anything

    i just got back from fishin a few hours ago and got a 10lb carp i was using bread peanutbutter mixed and there was a tinny carp but the big guy put up one hell of a fight

    I bet he did, no catfish what a shame. Congrats on the carp though.

    They look good enought to eat, so yeah I bet they work.

    Used to make it out of peanut butter, pureed chicken liver, grape kool aid and enough wheat germ to make a stiff dough ball.

    After I cut up a blue gill and got my lines out Id put one of them on a stick and hold it over the fire and munch out YUM...I bet you will tear up the carp with them Good luck.....
