I got to go out today for Blue's for the first time ever. I had the chance to get out on the Potomic. The bite was slow due to the front that moved in and the pressure rising. And it was super windy. We still were able to find some fish though. We didn't hook up with any pigs but I ended up with the biggest of the day. I caught it on my spinning gear, witch made it a little more interesting. The tide rippen like hell didn't make it any easier either. It felt like I had a #60 log on the other end of my rod. Here is a pic. He was a little over #37.

Yeah. I made a real good contact while I was there. He invited me to come down a few more times this winter. I hope I can afford the gas. He has got them around #60 already, so I hope he can get me on one of those suckers. It was hard to anchor because the wind was howling on way and the tide was going the other.

Heck yeah it did. I wanted to catch a nice fish on that rod soooo bad to. I wanted to see if it could handle a #30-#40 Flathead. I am confident that it will do the trick now.
