    how do i get parts for abu garcia 6000 reels also 5500,s where do you guys get yours

    Check out the ABU website at www.abu-garcia.com. Then look up the parts display under your reel number, then get the part number and order! Usually they will ship asap and the price is right.

    try this place, they should have everything you need. gotta go find your reel and then a Schematic comes up in adobe acrobat. shows all the parts of your reel with the number beside it. Fairly easy if ya know the exact reel you have.

    Unless it is something very simple like a pawl, I'd suggest you send the reel in to the abu shop and let them fix it... they completly recondition the reel. You many not know how worn parts in the reel are, but the abu technicians will and they replace every worn part, lubricate and service the reel for something like $29.00. Sometimes it is cheaper to let them recondition the reel than it is for you to get replacement parts.
