caught a channel out of deer creek the other day and it had parasites around the mouth area and also on the whiskers.
i never thought of getting a picture, but they were about 1/4 in long, and they almost looked like miniature slugs except the color was more of a brownish color with specs.
in all my years,i don't think i have seen anything like it,i wish i woulda gotten a picture of them.

Once in a while we would get walleyes with those parasites.
Just about all the turtles got some on them at times

Hm, I caught a blue out of the Ohio this weekend and he had a good 1/4 - 1/2 slug like creature in it's mouth. I didn't think anything of it .. picked it out of his mouth and tossed him back. :eek:oooh:

A few of us also this year caught several Sauger from the Pike Island area on the Ohio and they had the same think in their mouth. They were barely 1/8 of an inch long though.
