paper and pen to weigh your fish !

    does any one know the formula to calculate the weight of a fish ? i use to know it but i have forgotten. it think i remimber part. is it with x girth devided by 1000? hek i dont know but if someone does id like to hear it.

    General Fish Weight
    Length x Girth² ÷ 800
    (length x girth x girth ÷ 800)

    Bass
    Length² x Girth ÷ 1,200
    (length x length x girth ÷ 1,200)

    Pike
    Length³ ÷ 3,500
    (length x length x length ÷ 3,500)

    Walleye
    Length³ ÷ 2,700
    (length x length x length ÷ 2,700)

    Thanks for posting this formula, I will write it down in my notebook that is in my tackle. Sometimes when your lucky a 50lb scale just aint enough...... :crying:

    thats true,unfortunatly i havent had the luxury of catching one that big......yet.
