i have been wanting to paint my boat its a 16 foot aluminum v hull with a 30 hp outboard its white with blue carpet and interior has seen its days and plus i want to be able to duck hunt out of it i want to paint it drab green then do some stencil work ive heard you have to sand then use aluminum oxide primer let that dry then paint whatever you like. if anyone has advice id greatly appreciate it ive been wanting to do it for a while but i want to do it right and not have to do touchups with a spray can every year cause it flakes or cracks and chips. Im thinking of removing carpet and having floor rhinolined.

air craft paint stripper will do the trick all the way down to bare aluminum, be careful outside job! A pressure washer to rinse and several coats of the stripper. Then a self etching primer or etching paint, I got this paint myself from Lowe boat dealer.
