What does everyone do with there packing peanuts? We have a trash bag full and I am going to take them to the post office so they can reuse them. I just wanted to know if there are any neat things you can use them for before I take them.

i've known people who used them for insulation in walls ,just small areas unless you get tons of the stuff...i'm told its almost like the blown in insulation

For drainage in the bottom of your potted plants.

Stuffed into a zippered pillow case for a dog bed.

Found these ideas on the net, there are probably several more......

I started using them last summer after I saw a man camped next to me on Ft Gibson catch 3X as many perch in his trap with the "peanuts" as I did with bait. Black perch and chubs both will go in along with gills.

Forgot all about using them in Perch traps. I heard about that before and wondered if it worked.

Gonna save me some next time I get my hands on 'em and give it a try next Spring.

if you jug fish, they work very well in those jugs....if the jug has/gets a leak, the peanuts will make it unsinkable

Thanks guys for the info. I might just keep them for the fish traps.

If you use Sabiki Rigs or bait catching rigs for white perch and other bait fish, they are ideal for putting on the little hooks so they don't grab everything in the boat, including yourself.
