I felt that PA needed its own smack talk thread. the flatlanders have their own and now we have ours. so let the smack talk begin.

Jeff for all the huffing and puffing that you and your boys have done lately you folks really aren't that far out in front, and the fall bite has yet to really kick in over here yet. remember this isn't a sprint its a marathon.

I have just started to see some nicer fish caught this past week. Hopefully I will start to get into the big Flats soon.

I have entered 8 fish so far. To bad they were all Channels. The fall bite should start soon, and I should be able to chalk up some Flats.

Just remember this...The Fall bite that everyone mentions picking up in PA...well it happens in Ohio almost the same time every year too. So look out.

And yes, It's a close game. Makes it more interesting.

Well everyone knew we were going to be the underdogs. It is still fun though. I am going to get layed off in a couple of weeks and will be able to fish more. I just hope they will still be bitting and not wintering. I have a good idea on where thy will be in the winter though and would like to try to get a winter time flat.

i just want to say i love this little competition we have going on here. i have met and talked to some great people and all are very good fishermen. it has motivated me to get out and fish more and to try new spots and techniques. i have learned alot from all of you and even though this year has been frustrating at times i have been having a blast.

OK guys. We are only a little bit behind. Lets go get some fish before it gets to cold and the bite stops.

Here's your sign.....I caught a 7 1/2# channel yesterday evening while catching Shad. Yep in my cast net. LOL. I fished for him about 2 hours, but couldn't get him to bite.
