Overnight bluegills for flathead catfish?

    hello brothers i have heard you guys saying that you leave blugills over night for flat heads how does this work do you keep them live or dead please help:crazy:

    hello chris and welcome to the BOC. first off i need to ask, what do you mean leave bluegill over night for flathead. do you mean on a limbline or do you mean keeping them for bait? this will probably help us answer your question a little better.

    if you mean limb line, your probably gonna want a large live bluegill,

    yea a limb line thats what its called couldent thnk of the name thanks :roll_eyes::wink:

    Hook them behing the dorsal fin and they will live all night long; at least until a flatty come along. They are great for limbs, trots and jugs.

    yeah thats what i thought you might have meant. gills work really well, as do shad, carp, bass, whatever you can get.
