With all the floods north of OKC, the Canidian river is really showing its self strong and muddy. These pics are of Overholser below the dam where there is usually a couple of mud holes. I've lived here 30+ years and I've never seen this much water ever below the dam. Jan and I went over tonight to check it out, there were at least a 1000 other people over there. (12000 cubic ft. per second) comming thru the dam, per news media.

The scariest part about that is that it hasn't rained in Okc for a couple of days. Most of that is runnoff coming from upstream.

I've been seeing these folks who live next to a creek or river. It is perfectly sunny outside and they look out and the water is coming over the bank and still rising. Hopefully that will all push downstream soon. Kinda reminds me of the Tom & Jerry cartoons where they have a garden hose and you can see the big blob of water work its way all the way down the hose.

The news last night said a 17 year old boy was swept away in this mess yesterday. They were still looking for him this morning.

Be very careful if you're gonna fish near any waters like this.
