Took a fellow worker out on the river today that haden't been fishin in over 40 years. Imagine that! He was 10 years old last time he was fishin and the man is 54 years old now! He was like a kid in a candy store. LOL! Hootin and hollerin up a storm. Managed to get us on some decent channels. Water temp was 68 degrees. Wind outa the west at about 15 knots. Fished shallow when the sun first came up and did well. Then we concentrated on some good drop offs from 8 to 19 feet deep on an outgoin tide. He had no idea what a screamin reel was, but he found out in a hurry. LOL! Todays baits of choice were perch heads and fillets along with nice long thick pieces of chicken breast. Boated a bunch of fish. Attached photos are of the better ones of course. LOL! Enjoy the pics. THANX!

Don't look like it will be another 40 years before he has a pole back in his hand again. I think you made that fellers day they George. I would say you might just have made yourself a new fishin buddy.

Congratulations on another great day on the water BG. It's great to see a smile on someones face when they get into some fish especially when it's been that long since he's been fishing.

I dont know George, there is something suspicious in all this.I think you are trying to rehab your reputation after your centerfold episode. Now all we hear is fishing stories etc etc.New avatar with a very large rental fish in it,something is up.Perhaps you had a flashback and remembered that you joined this site because it was about fishing!!!!!:smile2::big_smile:At least we now know that some of our Large James river and Santee catfish are ending up in pay ponds in New Jersey!!!!!!:smile2::crazy::eek:oooh:In any case thanks for taking an oldtimer fishing and letting him rediscover the fun.:smile2:
