Outside in the cold

    well as you all know we are having some pretty cold weather here in ohio...we are gonna be below zero tonight and in single digits tomorrow and i was wondering if you all have some advice on what to do with my dog that i keep outside i have straw and blankets out there in his kennel and dog house but im not sure it is gonna be enough...i cant bring him in cause he dont get along with my other dogs

    Beleive it or not he should be ok.Make sure he has plenty of unfrozen water and food to snack on during the real cold weather.

    Dehydration this time of year sets in quick.

    If your realy worried a single 75-100 watt lightbulb in his doghouse will keep him nice and toasty.That is also a good trick to keep water pipes from freezing too (put a lamp under your house near you water line.)

    whats got me worried is the fact that he is a short haired dog i never even thought about puttin a light in his dog house thanks this is the first time he has ever had to be kept in the cold and he isnt happy about it
