I have 24ft pontoon boat with a 40 hp outboard .I have notice that the motor braket does not rest all the way down on top of the transum. What would be the proper foot hight and how would you check it?

Pontoon boats don't set up like other type boat hulls. If your engine doesn't cavitate then it's probably set at the right position. If it does, then it should be lowered.

Weight distribution on a pontoon plays a big part in engine positioning.

Are you having a problem with where it's at?
