It is still against the law to kill them or pocess any parts of them without proper permits.

It's a sad reflection on a society that needs laws to prevent people from killing and processing Bald Eagles...W

C'mon, fellas. They taste just like chicken.

Just kiddin'. I have to be careful what I post. Us Cajuns already have a bad rep for our culinary choices.
As far as state birds go, we wish we could eradicate them all.
For those not in the know, our state bird is the mosquito.

Yes, the Bald Eagles are respected by me. I wonder if this means that we will now be able to travel in areas,on water, where they are nesting. On the Ohio there were creeks, in the Smithland area, where we had to idle through are was forbidden to enter.

I did not know that. I am glad they made a good comeback. We use to feed them all the time growing up as a kid while icefishing. You really wouldn't believe how big them things can get until you are 5 feet away watching them tear up a 2 pound fish. Thanks for sharing. GOD bless America

I caught that bass on a home-meade lure made out of eagle feathers. I used the eagle meat for some channel cats ; )

Sorry. If you were Cajun, you'd catch the humor.

It's from an old Boudreaux and Thibodeaux joke.

The Chesapeake bay and all the rivers flowing into it are full of them again. I hear there is a movement that wants to let people start using DDT again with no restrictions. I guess they want to start the cycle all over again.
